Do not be alarmed, this is an actual blog post

Pure crystal surfacing test

Pure crystal surfacing testSo there’s nothing worse than an abandoned blog…and we’re guilty as charged. Moving things along on Pure takes up a lot of time, and we kept saying we’d queue a post up next week, and had an idea for something we were going to write up, and yadda yadda yadda many months without a post. So we beg your forgiveness and ask that you’d come back and give us a look.

Our lack of posts isn’t indicative of a lack of progress by any means, not by a long shot. We’ve been cranking away on animation in particular, we have almost the entire first sequence animated and have made tons of progress on the second and third. Austin, our rigger and TD, is now helping us produce and is managing the texture team and they’re surfacing all sorts of awesome gritty and dusty stuff. And the modeling team is busy putting the details into the world of Pure, creating all those little objects and items that give a place character. We’ve also given the blog a fresh coat of paint that we hope you’ll like.

So we’ll be posting here at least once every week or so if not more often, keeping you guys updated on production, giving you peeks behind the scenes to see the film in progress, letting you get to know some of the team members on Pure, and hopefully keeping you entertained along the way.

Following us on Twitter or Instagram is the best way to stay in the loop with what we’re doing, and if you’ve got any thoughts on what you’d like to see leave us a comment or shoot us an e-mail.

We’ll leave you with a shot from the second sequence of Pure, if you’d like to see the progress of this shot check out the posts on Twitter or Instagram. Enjoy!
